Biggest news this week in Phoenix had to be Sarah Palin purchasing a home in Scottsdale and her possible launch of a 2012 Presidential run from the valley. Local satellite truck, SNG/ENG crewing, and production companies should realize a small boon from the former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate settling in Arizona. That new piece of equipment may be in the budget now!
Satellink West utilizes Senore 3187 MRD’s for our satellite truck HD needs. We currently have 3 of these Sencores in our satellite trucks for monitoring and distributing our HD downlinks. On many jobs, we need the flexibility of monitoring our satellite downlinks in HD or SD/SDI. Sometimes we turn these downlinks around for a particular event that is being presented to an audience. Depending on the equipment used, the Sencores can even offer us an composite analog feed if necessary. The Sencores are a reliable and flexible addition to our satellite truck’s HD/SD capability.
NewTek reps Rusty and Kim were at Satellink West and Crew West studios yesterday to demo the new TriCaster TCXD300 HD portable live production box to Crew West/Sat West President Jim Farrell, satellite truck operator Mark MacKay, and Satellite Operations Manager Bob Eichenberger. Amazing capabilities in a 4 rack unit box! Check out their demo on-line at NewTek.
